Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand Meets CITIC Telecom Executives

Invited by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and the Bureau of Investment of Thailand (BOI), Executives of CITIC Telecom International Holdings Limited (CITIC Telecom) had the honour of meeting Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand, H.E. Dr. Somkid Jatusripitak on 28 April 2017 in Hong Kong.

Dr. Tiger Lin, Executive and Chief Executive Officer of CITIC Telecom said the company will increase investment in cloud and ICT services. He also presented the company’s current presence and future plans in Thailand expressing that CITIC Telecom will strive to be the bridge connecting Thai enterprises to the rest of the world as well as to foreign MNCs entering Thailand.

Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Somkid said that ICT services play a key role in Thailand’s development and welcomes investment in the sector from CITIC Telecom. He also hopes that CITIC Telecom would seize the opportunities in Thailand and consider positioning the country as a regional headquarter to further expand in the region.

The meeting was attended by: Thailand’s Minister of Digital Economy and Society, Minister of Industry, Secretary General, Office of the BOI, Vice Minister of DPM Office and key CITIC Telecom executives from ICT subsidiaries: CPC, ACCLIVIS and Pacific Internet (Thailand).
